|| i confess that i have become entirely too dependent on coffee. every morning, hadley starts chanting "co, co, co" {derived from my "coffee, coffee, coffee" mantra} as soon as i lift her out of her crib. she knows the magical drink brings her mama to life.
back when she was tiny, i started experimenting with different ways to make iced coffee {my fav} since going to starbucks with a newborn just seemed too daunting most days. now that i'ved perfected my method {chilled water, h-e-b special roast coffee, french press, fridged overnight, dunkin donuts creamer} i'm super weird and anal about it, especially since it requires overnight brewing. last night i woke up at 2 am in a panic because i forgot to start the process. lord help me.
|| i confess that i am actually a little excited to get started with this whole potty training business. first of all, these training undies are everything. i'll let you know how they work out.
secondly, my mama friends and in what is called "herd potty-training." jk. i made that up. that's not a real thing, but we all seem to be on the same basic time table give or take a month, which has led to conversations as such:
|| i confess that i have let our fence contractor ruin our entire social life this week. we are supposed to be getting our long-awaited fence put in but i guess the crew is short-handed right now so this is all we have so far and {i think} they have bailed for the day.
i'm afraid to leave the house in case they actually show up again. i need to monitor the progress {per jon's request} so that everything goes where it should.
|| i confess that i'm stupidly annoyed with the fact that hadley has gone on an orange strike. we have all these leftover cuties from our valentines project and she can.not. be bothered with vitamin c right now. it's so rude and wasteful.
orange you glad I peeled this stupid orange?
alright, i'm off to starbucks and h-e-b for milk and a bubble-maker...yes, those are the only things on my shopping list and no, i cannot wait another day.
My little girl also loves those oranges but has been boycotting them recently!? They were my go to for the longest time and now she gets so angry at me!!
ReplyDeletePS-Would love your exact iced coffee recipe! I am a Starbucks fiend and would love to cut back for the sake of my waist line and also my wallet :)
I do 5 cups of cold water and 1 cup of coffee grounds in a French press (stirred up). I leave it overnight before pressing. Just add ice and Dunkin's "extra extra" creamer...it's perfection!! I just checked out your blog and our girls are only a day apart- we are September 6, 2014. How cool is that?!
