gallery wall perfection

unfortunately, we still don't have any real answers about hadley's aching foot. she doesn't seem to be in constant pain, but she is still avoiding walking as much as possible. jon and I are definitely hoping to have our little runner back by the end of this weekend!

for now, we have a crawler. it's like she's 9 months old again.

during hadley's beautiful 3 hour nap today, i finally set to work on replacing the photos of our gallery wall. this was one jon's valentine's day gifts {the other, a large bottle of whiskey}.

before:
i originally created this collage 4 years ago and i haven't updated it since. all of the photos were from our wedding. i figured it was time for the wall to reflect the newest member of our family as well.

i ordered all of the new prints from www.mpix.com and i could not have been more impressed. they were super affordable and my photos literally arrived 1.5 days after i ordered them online {with no additional shipping fees}. the quality is out of this world to boot.

basically, lou is my hero.

i decided on my arrangement before i even ordered the prints, but i laid them out before i committed to putting them in frames...just to be sure.

i think these were my favorites of the group. hadley at 2 weeks and at 1 year.
we probably sat and rocked in that chair 100 times in between those 2 photos.

after:
i am pretty pleased with myself. i did, however, make one terrible mistake with the center picture while ordering. i accidentally uploaded the original photo instead of the edited version.

see the unfortunate placement of my golden buttons? yep. this was a poor {last minute} wardrobe choice that has since been edited out in all circulated photos from this session {christmas cards, facebook profile pics, etc}. also, i just realized hadley is missing a shoe here...it's endearing, right?

because this was my largest {and most expensive} print, i set aside my pride and emailed mpix to see if there was anything they could do to help me out. bart {bless him} emailed me back immediately and offered to send me a replacement print at a 50% discount!!! bart is good man...who probably didn't want to discuss my situation in any further detail.

happy valentine's day!!!
